1990-Present Director of Student Support Services,
Responsible for all aspects of
organizing, administering, and supervising a U.S. Department of Education
federally-funded program. Primary objective is the coordination of an
educational opportunity program aimed at improving and facilitating the chances
for academic progress and personal growth of program participants. Other responsibilities include supervising
all project staff; researching and creating new methods and procedures for
strengthening the counseling and tutorial services; and maintaining a
record-keeping operation in line with current budget. Serves on several college
committees, including: orientation, self-study, retention, special events, and
strategic planning. Instructor of course entitled Strategies for Success in
College (SSCL).
1983-1989 Counselor Upward Bound and Student
Support Services, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College,

Experiences included conducting workshops and seminars; coordinating Scholars’
Bowl Activities and individual and structured group counseling sessions.
